Paths of A Sort

Dear Reader (2020-01-29),

I am now about half way through the non-fiction book “On Trails – An Exploration” by Robert Moor. Moor talks about trails left by creatures from the primordial ooze, people, ants, elephants, and more. In the past week I have found no elephant tracks in Calgary. I did though capture these 2 small sets.

Cheers, Sean

  1. At last I get to see them on the big screen! The first two snowy photos don’t do anything for me. I suspect they would look better in print than on screen. I’m quite taken with the next three, especially the last one. I like the tracks that parallel the shoreline, and really like the radial tracks with the shadow.
I am less certain about the next two. I love the colours in the first one, indeed it’s a photo I could have taken. And yet, and this is something I’m struggling with, I think there’s something missing. I don’t know what, though, or where it should go.

    1. As always, thank you for visiting and commenting. I’m sure you will let me know if you have a flash of insight on “something missing”.
