I was caught by the tree. I have a number of photos from New Zealand where the light catches a tree in a certain way to make it really stand out from the background. As yours does in a similar way. Still not sure how I’m going to present those.
Shadows in snow are difficult, and I like what you’ve done there. For me all the interest is in the bottom half of the photo.
Thank you for visiting and commenting. Both of these photos had the benefit of some subtle post-processing using Color Efex Pro 4. In the case of the tree, I was able to bring in a little more detail in the clouds. In the second photo I was able to improve the contrast between snow and shadow.
Interesting perspective in the second photo. It was the tree shadow that really caught my eye and the framing of the fence posts.
