Dear Reader (2025-01-13),
In today’s post you and I walk what would appear from the map to be a relatively moderate walk. Most of the day is spent in sight of Lago Nordernskjöld (a good Argentine name). I and others I meet at the end of the day agree that the day’s path was surprisingly longer and harder than expected. The weather through out the day is some combination of wet, windy, sunny, and dry.
Some of the colour images feel like cibachrome (analogue slide to print process), which is further emphasized by the black border I gave them.
Distance 18k plus, Elevation Gain and Loss yes, Point to Point.
Throughout my urban and rural walking on this adventure, I made a conscious decision not to record my walks. I didn’t want to be distracted by measurement records. All I really wanted to know was whether or not there was enough daylight and energy in the tank to complete a day’s walk.

1- Love it! If I had done this as film, it would be happy times in the dark room.
8- Nicely composed. B&W was a great choice.
9- Maybe I’m influenced by how cold it is outside as I write this, but the impression I get from the photo is cold and windy.
11- This reminds me of the view from a gazebo near a castle in New Zealand. A lovely scene, but I don’t think there’s a gazebo to have a nice picnic and enjoy the view.
12- A wider angle view of 11, but not as successful. This one somehow feels unbalanced to me.
Thank you for visiting and commenting. Re 9 it wasn’t that cold but it was certainly a fine drizzle. I hummed and I hawed on whether both 11 and 12 were worth sharing. I concluded that as they both said something different but similar they could both speak.
