Dear Reader (2026-10-21 published simultaneously on FB),
And so begins a short series of about 3 posts from my recent 8 day drive out to British Columbia. White Rock is a small town on the Pacific coast south of Vancouver that sits on the Canadian side of the Canada US border. The town has the longest pier in Canada, a lovely boardwalk, and a well used train track beside the boardwalk.
I arrive at my hotel at dusk after driving from Revelstoke, and stopping for a minor vehicle repair in Salmon Arm . The marine fog turns every view into a colourized scene from an unknown film noir movie (01-04). To my mind, the grain from the mid-range phone camera adds to the mood. The next night I take my pet tripod out for a walk, and look for ghosts. 09 is titled “Coffee Ghost”.
