Dear Reader (2026-08-19 published simultaneously on FB),
A new project has gone to the printer (more about that eventually). So, let’s return to the Mongolia series. In my introduction notes on 2026-07-27 I mentioned that over the course of less than 2 weeks we travelled around 2000 km. The implication is that part of the tour is watching the world go by through tinted glass. Conversations start and fade. Thoughts drift by and no great insights into life the universe and everything are reached or written. Instead, there are long views of a very different part of the world. Sometimes those views are captured through a window and sometimes they are captured at comfort stops in the middle of the Gobi desert. For women privacy is behind a designated car.
Of the three nouns (from 2026-07-27 Dragons, Camels, and Dunes) this post celebrates dragons.
