Dear Reader (2026-04-20 posted simultaneously to FB)
This is the second of the two “The Bolivia With Offbeat Portfolio – Colour” posts. Please see my post from Sunday April 19 on either FB or my website for the supporting context and text (https://seandrysdale.com/2026/04/19/the-bolivia-with-offbeat-portfolio-part-01/ ).
For my more seasoned readers, you may notice that I broke my own rule about a maximum of a dozen images per post. Well, I tried to remove one of these 13 images and the set felt compromised. So today you get a baker’s dozen.
The B&W portfolio is waiting in the wings and will be staged soon.

10 – Geyser – Sol de Mañana

1- Astro photos can be difficult. Somehow they’re never quite the same as being there.
5- This reminds me of Yukon, in a somewhat subdued way. Love the shapes and shadows.
6- This one grew on me.
7- Stands up and applauds!
8- My eyes went around and around.
12- This reminds me of the rocks in the ice on Fish Creek. I think this needed a delicate hand on editing. I think it could tip over into over baked territory very quickly.
13- Not really a bird guy, but the colours and shapes are fascinating.
Now myself, I’d say that 9 and 10 could be dropped out of this set, and perhaps something else brought in, though I don’t know what other images are available.
Thank you as always for your comments. I may not always agree with them and I always appreciate them. You raise an interesting question regarding 9 and 10. Not only do I really like these images, but I also wanted to add some variation on perspectives to the set. In the denouement you may see other choices I could have made – stay tuned.
