Dear Reader (2026-04-04 posted simultaneously to FB)
After spending three nights in Santiago my travel companion and I spent five days or so visiting two National Parks a couple of hours SE of Santiago in the dry Andean foothills. In terms of seasons, summer greens are softly giving way to browns and oranges.
Notes on Photos
~ 01, 02 – New contributions to my long running collection, The Thin Line.
~ 03 to 05 – Small discoveries and hidden worlds.
~ 06 – A view from a walk in Reserva Nacional Altos de Lircay.
~ 07 to 11– A rock and water collection from walks in Parque Nacional Radal Siete Tazas. I will have more to say on rocks and water in later post.
~ 12 – A nice outdoor patio where we had evening beers 2 or 3 times.

1. I must admit this is an interesting addition to the thin line collection.
3. Flowers can be surprisingly difficult, but the light is lovely for this.
5. I’m just fascinated with the texture of the rocks. They look like giant scales.
6. I’ve looked at this one a lot. I’ve taken photos similar to it, or tried to. I think I like it, or think that I do. But I’m not sure, and I’m not sure why.
7. Nailed it!
11. Love this image! Were you allowed to get in an explore?
