Dear Reader (2025-11-25 – posted simultaneously to FB)
Let’s continue on our drive through, across, and by desert vistas of all scales. By the way the desert context post was “Algeria – 20” on 2025-11-23.
Notes on Photos – Desert Views
~ 01 – (2nd Tour) 3 Toyotas, 5 travellers and chairs and a table for us, 3 drivers, 1 tour leader , 1 local guide, 1 cook and all the food and water required for 5 full days and 4 nights in the desert.
~ 02 – (2nd tour) cook and drivers
~ 03 – Sand cooked bread being flipped. The bread was then torn into bite sized and became part of a tasty and filling bread and meat stew.

5-I’ve actually been surprised at how much texture the rocks still have. After all, they’ve been buffeted by sandstorm winds for who knows how long. You’d think they’d be worn smooth with all the abrasion.
7-I keep thinking, for a moment, I’m looking at a monstrous creature throwing up a rancid dinner.
9-What a great place to put an evil villain lair.
10-Lovely curves and just enough texture to add interest.
11-Now that’s an intriguing outcropping. You probably didn’t get to explore.
12-More rocks and desert. I wonder what this would look like in B&W? Some of the other B&W desert photos are really strong.
Thank you for visiting and commenting. I tried 12 in B&W. In order for the image to be presentable a number of halos were introduced and the resulting image was not strong enough to merit a halo removal process.
