Dear Reader (2026-0-10)
Well this past 7 days or so have been a bit of surprise. Once again (or constantly), I have been feeling sad, disgusted, or in despair over the general tenor of these times. I have also been feeling that I should be out there creating art but not really doing anything about it. Then I observe that looking over the past week or so I have been out there practicing, even if I haven’t been working on new projects. This only goes to demonstrate that my sense of time and effort continues to be highly fluid.
Here is a somewhat disjointed collection from the past week covering our street, Fish Creek, and with Cam at Abraham Lake and Vicinity (AL and V).

As always, all comments are welcome and sought.

I made the decision a while ago that the world news was so depressing, together with the realization there was nothing I could do about it, triggered the decision to stop reading the news and get more involved with my local community. More involved, yes, that’s worked out well. Let’s just say that the news is kind of like a train wreck happening where you can’t avoid seeing it. Sigh.
2-There’s a willow tree nearby where I’ve got several similar photos. I find hoarfrost to be quite lovely, but a little of it goes a long way, in a photographic sense.
3-Nice! I’ve never really had a satisfactory photo of this building.
5-I suspect this one looks better in Lightroom.
6-You know I love reflections, so I’d have probably framed this to include more of the lake. Then again, there might be other constraints.
7-Wow! Love the water texture. I might have cropped a bit off the right and bottom.
9-A curiously moody image. I really must get out to that lake. Probably too late for this year, what with the warm weather.
